Communication Report – June 2019

My report is all kind of late this month so apologises for that normally I am within the first ten days. But what a month and the best is still yet to come as we have Obsidian Day on 27th July. You will hear more about that later in my report. The second quarter fleet-wide votes for Unit of Merits aren’t going this quarter due to one ship being nominating. It will go into the next quarter around October time.

Social Media

If you didn’t already know we also have the following social media that we manage. Every follow and like counts towards getting us out there to potential players. Some Commanding Officers have done some awesome work in linking stuff to our Facebook site.

As you would know from the buzz around the fleet, we are holding the third annual Obsidian Day. We are still looking for people who are wanting to host an event to help make this celebration extra special. We can add more panels if more people want to do stuff as well. Maybe you have an idea for a quiz or a subject you want to teach us about. If you think this could be you, email the Joint Fleet Command with your details and what you will be running!

New Items

We need everyone – players and CO’s alike – to submit news stories. These could be anything from an awesome mission on your sim to a great post you want to see everyone talking about. It also doesn’t take long to get them approved either. If you need assistance please contact me.

Finally…

The Communication team is working on loads of different projects at the moment from creating Nova guides to helping out with the lore database transfer so we are all busy. If anyone thinks they would like to join us let me know. We are still looking for a person who is on North America time or Australian time to join the team to help out when we Europeans are sleeping.

If anyone needs assistance with recruitment or social media please reach out I would love to hear from you. Please contact me on discord goldun#8667 or email comms at obsidianfleet.net.
